Kyla Potter
With a passion for all things involving design, Kyla not only immerses herself with Kitchens and Interiors but also loves following architecture, construction, art and fashion which all help influence her work. Kyla joined Carlielle Kitchens in 2006 after graduating from the Auckland School of Interior Design. Since then her fresh approach and undeniable sense of style has made the difference to the many Carlielle clients that she has worked with - exceeding expectations with innovative solutions that really showcase the client’s individual personality.
Right from day one, Kyla has impressed everyone at Carlielle Kitchens with her bubbly personality, her energy and her efficiency. It takes real professionalism to not only come up with excellent design solutions on time and on budget, but also communicate them well with clients, outside suppliers and on-site trades people. While having exceptional talent in designing contemporary and modern kitchens, Kyla has also completed a number of beautiful traditional kitchens which fit well into the country homes surrounding her Pukekohe home town.
Having just built a new home with her partner who is also in the building industry, Kyla understands how important it is to build a close relationship with your designer and trades people, this will give you the best result possible and help take the stress out of your project.
“The kitchen is truly the hub of any home. My aim is to assist you in creating a functional and innovative space that meets all the practical requirements of your lifestyle, whilst being unique and personal to you.”
Jessica Valintine
A Taranaki girl originally, Jess was keenly aware of form, space and style from a young age – it seemed inevitable that she would gravitate toward a career in practical design. So it turned out when she became a qualified Interior Designer in 1999. After graduating, she joined Carlielle Kitchens specialising in kitchen and bathroom design and also freelances in Interior Design. The challenge of integrating distinctive form and superb styling into these essentially functional spaces has absorbed Jess ever since.
As well as a love of clean lines and elegant symmetry, Jessica is known for her ability to get onto a client's 'wavelength' and produce a design tailor-made for both the space and the people who will live with it for years to come. She is often asked to lend her expertise to projects beyond the kitchen and bathroom – designing laundry rooms, wine cellars, bars, home offices and even custom furniture.
Away from work, Jess is kept busy with her two children and landscaping the property she shares with her husband who also works in the building industry.
Jess now primarily works under her own company JV Design on a contract basis and can offer a full interior design service where required.
“Spending a little more in the design and preparation stage, then selecting a good reliable team of tradesmen will inevitably save you valuable time and money in the long run. And provide a much more pleasing end product.”
